Terms of Use

TERMS OF USE · DRAFT FOR REVIEW

Clear terms for using ODO

These terms explain how ODO works, what paid reports cost, and the responsibilities that come with recording and sharing vehicle history.

Draft updated 24 August 2026

Before you use ODO

These Terms govern your use of ODO’s mobile application, marketing pages, checkout, report generation, verification pages, workshop handoff tools, and related services (the “Services”). ODO Malaysia operates the Services. By using the Services or completing checkout, you agree to these Terms.

Key points

  • You control the records you enter and must keep them accurate and lawful.
  • Generated reports and Standard are paid features with prices shown below.
  • Public verification checks an issued file and checksum—not whether every statement is true.

Paid reports and Standard

Single report
RM5 for each successfully generated Mileage or Service PDF.
Standard
RM10 per month, including 5 report entitlements per billing cycle shared across Mileage and Service.
After the allowance
RM5 for each additional report after all 5 included entitlements are used.
Reset and rollover
Included entitlements reset on your billing anniversary and do not roll over.

Prices are in Malaysian ringgit. Checkout shows the amount payable before purchase or renewal. Automatic retries of the same report are not charged again. If generation permanently fails without producing a completed report, the entitlement will be restored or the payment refunded, as applicable.

About ODO and acceptance

ODO Malaysia operates the Services. References to “ODO”, “we”, “us”, or “our” mean ODO Malaysia. You accept these Terms when you use the Services, create an account, submit information, request a report, or complete checkout. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility and accounts

You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

How the Services work

ODO supports local-first vehicle and trip records. Anonymous records may remain encrypted on your device. Signed-in features may include cloud backup, additional vehicle capacity, report generation, workshop handoff, and public report verification. Features may differ by plan, device, or availability.

Licence and third-party services

Subject to these Terms, ODO grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for their intended personal or internal business purpose. You must not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, circumvent, or commercially exploit the Services except where applicable law expressly permits it. Features supplied by an app store, payment provider, address provider, or other third party may also be governed by that provider’s terms and privacy practices. ODO is not responsible for a third-party service outside its reasonable control.

Your records and workshop submissions

You are responsible for records, images, receipts, notes, and other content submitted through the Services. You must have the right or lawful authority to submit information about another person. Workshop handoff lets another person submit details for your review; submission does not make that information automatically correct. Review records before importing, relying on, or sharing them. Do not submit unlawful, misleading, infringing, or harmful content.

Payments, checkout, and renewals

The prices and included report allowance are stated above. By completing checkout, you authorise the displayed charge using the selected payment method. Standard renews each billing cycle until cancelled through the available account, app-store, checkout, or support method. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless checkout states otherwise. Price changes apply prospectively and will be shown before purchase or renewal. Refunds, restored entitlements, and remedies remain subject to the checkout terms and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Generated reports

A report is created from the records and evidence selected at generation time. Each completed report is an immutable PDF with its own report identifier and checksum. Editing a source record later does not change an already issued report; generating again creates a new report. Record status and report classification describe provenance and completeness, not guaranteed truth.

Public verification

Public verification may confirm that a report identifier exists and that an uploaded PDF matches the issued checksum. It does not verify the truth of each entry, vehicle ownership, mechanical condition, value, legal compliance, employer approval, tax treatment, or entitlement to reimbursement. Recipients must make their own assessment.

Cloud backup, evidence, and privacy

Eligible Standard accounts may start cloud backup when no prior preference exists. You may turn off future backup, but doing so does not automatically delete information already stored. A report request may temporarily upload selected evidence even when persistent backup is off. Our Data Privacy notice explains collection, use, retention, deletion, and your choices.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Services, interfere with security or availability, bypass limits, probe for vulnerabilities without permission, automate abusive requests, upload malware, impersonate another person, violate another person’s rights, or use ODO to create or distribute fraudulent records or reports.

Ownership and permission to process content

ODO and its licensors retain rights in the Services, software, branding, layouts, and templates. You retain rights in content you lawfully submit. You grant ODO a limited permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and format that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services and meet legal obligations.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Services available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, connectivity, device loss, provider outages, abuse controls, or security events may affect access. We may add, change, suspend, or retire features, while respecting paid rights that cannot lawfully be changed.

Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using ODO and request account deletion through available controls or support. Once ODO confirms deletion, account access ends immediately and the account cannot be recovered. ODO immediately begins permanent removal of account-associated cloud records, evidence, retained reports, report metadata, and public-verification data; secure backend erasure completes through a bounded operational process. Issued reports then cease to verify, although ODO cannot recall copies previously shared outside the Services. Deleting an ODO account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; unless you cancel through the applicable store, store billing may continue. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, suspected fraud, legal compliance, non-payment, or material breach of these Terms. Provisions concerning ownership, payment obligations, previously shared content, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and other provisions intended by their nature to continue will survive, but ODO does not retain reports merely to keep verification available.

Disclaimers and liability

ODO is a recordkeeping and report-delivery tool, not professional mechanical, legal, tax, accounting, insurance, valuation, or employment advice. Use records and reports with independent judgment. The Services are provided on an “as available” basis and, to the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, without implied warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. ODO is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. To the same extent, ODO’s aggregate liability arising from the Services will not exceed the amount you paid ODO for the affected Service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these Terms prospectively and will provide reasonable notice of material changes where appropriate. These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes are subject to the courts of Malaysia, without limiting rights that apply under mandatory law. Questions may be sent to example@email.com.

Resolving concerns

Before beginning formal proceedings, you and ODO should first try to resolve the matter informally by sending a written description of the concern and the requested outcome to example@email.com and allowing a reasonable period for a response. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or exercising rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

General provisions

These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice and any checkout terms presented for a purchase, form the entire agreement about the Services. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without ODO’s consent; ODO may assign them as part of a genuine financing, reorganisation, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law. Electronic notices sent to your account email or displayed through the Services may satisfy written-notice requirements where permitted by law.
